The traditional settlement of Αspros Potamos is located 124 kilometers southeast of Heraklion Crete in Lasithi in the Pefkos region and is one of the oldest settlements in the region, built on the hillside of Aspros Potamos. The area is famous for its scattered villages, for the four canyons and the beaches that are in a small walking distance from the accommodation.

If someone wants to visit this settlement he/she has to move east of Heraklion via the highway BOAK / E75 coming from Avenue Ikarou and after 79.5 km you will turn right towards Ierapetra provincial-Pahia Ammos Street and after 13.4 km you will turn left onto Papageorgiou street following the provincial road Ierapetra-Sitia and 29 kilometers will arrive in the settlement.

Aspros Potamos is a restored village that with the hard effort of the owners managed to work after many years, the owners respecting the environment, are using alternative energy sources and take advantage the  stone and wood from the region to maintain the traditional architectural features of the settlement, enriching this location with a complex of 10 houses each one configured with its own character and adapted to the needs of each customer. The position of the village on the hillside also make it special because it overlooks the gorge of Pefka and the Libyan Sea. There ara many  activities a visitor will find quite tempting like making a hike in the gorge of Pefki which has marked trail and rich vegetation and leads to the long shore beach. The village guesthouse also offers the opportunity for anyone interested in doing painting workshops, yoga and tai chi.
