The Havgas gorge is the largest gorge of Lasithi Plateau. Joins the plateau Katharo with the Lassithi plateau transferring the winter waters from 1269 m. altitude to 1197m. Its length is almost four kilometers with high vertical sides to the deeper points.

This is one of the most beautiful, unknown until recently to the public, gorges of the island. The virginal landscapes, the rich vegetation which decorate the slopes and the great variety of wildlife that lives in ti, make it look like a fairytale place living fairies.

The most beautiful point of it  is "Neraidokolympos", where is the last easily accessible point. This is a small lake with emerald waters, over which closed access to the rest of the canyon from a perfectly round rock, which said that placed the fairies of the gorge. Before we get to this point, there is a path, part of E4,  which allows access to the most experienced in the rest of the canyon.
