The Seitan Limania beach or Stefanou Beach located 22 km from the town of Chania on the east side of Chania cape. This is one of the most exotic beaches of Crete.
It is a beautiful small beach, hidden in the natural recess of two rocks. It has blue waters, sand and fine gravel and surrounded by a rocky landscape of wild beauty which contrasts with the tranquility and beauty offered by the coast water.
The name Seitan Limania (Ports) has remained from the Ottoman Empire. The Word Seitan translated into Turkish as "evil", so it is also known under the name Diavololimana - Devil Harbours, and may named by wild waters combined with the rocky coastline jeopardize the ships of the time.
The beach is accessible via a path, and you will need to walk about 20 minutes from the parking spot. Be sure to keep with you the necessary equipment and water because the beach is unorganized.
